Rebecca Browning (Browning Music Studio) received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice/Vocal Music Education from Houghton College in 1989. She taught Vocal, Instrumental and General Music for 8 years in the DeKalb, Illinois area before moving to Southern Illinois. Over the last 19 years, Rebecca has been teaching private music lessons including voice, piano, woodwinds, guitar, brass, percussion, and beginning orchestral strings to students from age 6 to age 86. She also teaches music students that live a distance away using SKYPE. She recently became the Director of Choral Music at Carbondale Community High School. She has been married to her husband, Steve, for 28 years and is a mother of four children.
Kira Browning (KB Music Studio) received her Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance from Southern Illinois University/Carbondale in 2016. She is currently a 2nd-year Masters student at the Greatbatch School of Music/Houghton College studying Viola Performance and Instrumental Conducting. She primarily teaches violin, viola, cello, piano, and guitar and has students of all ages.
